Why does my oven take forever to preheat?
Usually a weakening heating element or a gas igniter that's slow to reach ignition temperature. A tired door gasket also lets heat escape, so the oven keeps working to hold its setpoint. We measure element and igniter performance to tell which it is.
Can a bad sensor make baking uneven?
Yes. The temperature sensor tells the control board what the cavity is doing. When it drifts, the oven cycles at the wrong points, and food browns unevenly. Sensors are testable by resistance, so we verify the reading instead of guessing.
Is it safe to keep using an oven with an error code?
Stop using it until it's diagnosed, especially with gas or a locked self-clean cycle. Error codes flag a fault the control board already detected. Unplug electric units or shut off the gas at the appliance, then call us.
Do you work on gas and electric ovens?
Both, including wall ovens, freestanding ranges, and double-oven configurations. Gas work involves the igniter, safety valve, and burner assembly. Electric work centers on elements, relays, and wiring. We service all major brands as an independent company.
