Is a cracked glass cooktop worth repairing?
Sometimes. A hairline crack away from an element can often be handled by replacing the glass top assembly. Deep breaks with exposed wiring mean the cooktop stays off until a technician inspects it. We will tell you honestly what we find.
Why does my oven take forever to preheat?
Usually a weakening bake element. On gas models it is often an igniter that no longer draws enough current to open the safety valve. Worn door gaskets and warped doors bleed heat too. We meter the igniter to confirm before replacing anything.
